01 METHOD-AWARE DOCUMENT COMPARISON

Film roll and COA comparison: keep every result attached to its method

Two identical-looking numbers can answer different questions when the method, temperature, humidity gradient, direction, side, specimen stage or sampling basis changes. This browser-only tool keeps those fields beside the result and turns missing or mismatched evidence into a clarification list.

02 DECISION FRAME

A TDS typical value, supplier limit and lot result are different evidence types

Start with the buyer-controlled requirement, then enter each document or lot exactly as reported. The tool compares only when unit, method, specimen stage, conditions, supplier-limit direction, traceability, buyer decision rule and acceptance owner are recorded. It does not validate that decision rule, infer equivalence between methods, approve a lot or extend one result to a supplier’s whole grade range.

USE THIS GUIDE FOR
  • A converter or buyer reconciling a specification, TDS, COA and independent test report
  • An incoming-inspection team identifying missing lot, roll, method or sample-stage records
  • A sourcing team preparing precise supplier questions before a trial or receiving decision
DO NOT ASSUME
  • That a typical TDS value is a guaranteed supplier limit or lot result
  • That different units, methods, directions, sides or test conditions are automatically equivalent
  • That one COA, lot or roll proves grade-wide, regulatory or packed-product suitability

03 COMPARISON MAP

Keep document role, lot scope and comparison basis visible

03A LOCAL DOCUMENT COMPARATOR

Compare the method and conditions—not only the number.

Enter one buyer requirement and two to four supplier documents or lot results. Values stay in this browser tab, are not uploaded or saved, and disappear when the page is refreshed or closed. Copy, CSV and print actions create records outside the tab that may remain in the system clipboard, Downloads, synced storage or a saved PDF; keep those copies in buyer-controlled storage.

Open-issue summary

No open issue has been generated from the entered rows. This is not supplier, grade or lot approval.

Limitations

Statuses use only the values, methods, conditions, sampling/uncertainty rule and owner entered in this browser. The tool does not validate that decision rule. Missing or mismatched evidence is not a failure, and one lot result does not approve a grade, supplier, packed product or regulatory use.

One TDS, specification, COA, test report, lot or roll cannot establish grade-wide approval, food-contact status, shelf life or packed-product suitability. Resolve basis gaps and validate the intended conversion and pack route with the responsible parties.

OPEN-ISSUE SUMMARY

Missing and mismatched evidence becomes a question—not a verdict.

Enter a property and evidence basis to create clarification items. No empty screen state is treated as supplier, grade or lot approval.

Before continuing, copy the clarification brief, download the CSV or save the print record. Opening the RFQ leaves this browser-only comparison and does not carry the entered project values.

04 SELECTION SEQUENCE

Move from a broad comparison to an approvable decision.

01 / CONTROL

Enter the buyer requirement first

Use the controlled specification and revision, including sampling, uncertainty or rounding treatment and the responsible acceptance owner. Unknown criteria stay unknown; the tool does not create or validate a tolerance, AQL or decision rule.

02 / ATTACH

Attach every result to its basis

Keep unit, method and edition, temperature, RH or gradient, direction, side, sample stage, conditioning and source page beside the value.

03 / RESOLVE

Resolve gaps before release

Send missing and mismatched rows back as supplier questions or route them into a controlled conversion, receiving or finished-pack trial.

06 EVIDENCE BOUNDARY

The tool compares entered evidence; it does not create equivalence or approval

ASTM and ISO method pages support keeping measurement context beside a result. They do not supply this buyer’s limit, certify a supplier or make results from different methods and conditions interchangeable. The comparator therefore blocks a meets/outside status whenever the entered unit, method or condition/stage basis is missing or different.

07 BUYER QUESTIONS

Resolve the assumptions that make quotes diverge.

01Can the tool show that a result meets the entered requirement?

Only when the buyer enters a numeric comparator and the result uses the same entered unit, method and condition/stage basis. A mismatch or missing basis produces a question rather than a pass or fail.

02Does one COA approve a film grade or supplier?

No. A COA is kept attached to its entered lot, roll, sample and method. Grade qualification, supplier approval and repeat-order controls remain buyer-owned processes.

03Does the comparator upload or save confidential data?

No. Version one uses in-memory browser state only. Refreshing or closing the page discards entries; copy, CSV download and print occur only after an explicit user action.

04Can OTR, WVTR, COF, shrink or seal results be converted across methods?

No method equivalence is inferred. Record the named method, edition, conditions, specimen, direction or surface pair and resolve any difference with the buyer, supplier or laboratory.
